Who made the first mobile phone?

Dr. Martin Cooper of Motorola is considered to be the inventor of the first practical mobile phone.

On 3rd April, 1973 Martin placed a call to rival Joel Engle, Head of research at AT&T’s Bell Labs, While walking the streets of New York City talking on the first Motorola DynaTAC prototype.

What is the mobile phone addiction?

Mobile Phone Addiction Is Officially Called Nomophobia… If you’re obsessively checking your phone and you feel anxious when you’re not on the grid, you could be suffering from Nomophobia (which is officially a thing, apparently). Nomophobia is a fancy term for “cell phone addiction.”

  • When we are stressed or in uncomfortable situations we check our phones more frequently.
  • We lose sleep checking sites/watching videos or texting others/waiting for a reply.

More disadvantages of mobile phone addiction are given below:

  • Financial issues (such as debt due to high cell phone bills) Poor social skills
  • Relationship troubles (e.g. from using a cell phone while on a date)
  • Car accidents (e.g. from driving while talking or texting)
  • Academic difficulties (e.g. from lack of sleep due to excessive phone usage)
  • Job loss (e.g., texting at work, etc.)
  • Low self-esteem
  • Feeling lost or anxious if you forget or lose your phone

Students reported an average of:

  • 94.6 minutes a day texting
  • 54.6 minutes on social networks
  • 45.66 minutes playing games
  • 35.9 minutes listening to music Texting 58% Social Networks 23% Gaming 10% listening to music 9% Texting Social Networks Gaming listening to music
  • Women average 10 hours a day on their phones
  • Men average 8 hours a day on their phones
  • College students in a general average of 9 hours.
  • 60% of college students admit they may be addicted to their phones

Conclusion:

Many people believe that cell phone addiction is not that big of a problem, but some do not know it is a problem at all. My generation is going to be the peak of failure in society. We need to learn to look up from the phone. Teenagers need to not be so addicted to their phones because they are missing out on life.
